The ATRAX Headspace and Bullet Comparator Kit combined two popular products, the Headspace comparator kit and the Bullet comparator Kit, all packaged in a handy case, perfect for your reloading bench.
Headspace:
The Headspace Comparator kit uses interchangeable bushings sized for various cartridge families, which fit into the comparator body and mount directly onto a caliper. This setup allows reloaders to compare fired brass against resized brass and accurately monitor shoulder setback.
By measuring these differences, users can fine-tune their sizing dies to better match the dimensions of their rifle chamber. Excessively sizing cases can create unnecessary head clearance, which may lead to issues such as reduced case life and premature brass wear.
This kit is designed to measure from the case head to the shoulder datum point, giving a precise indication of headspace dimensions. With five included bushings, it covers the majority of bottleneck rifle cartridges, from .17 Remington up to belted magnum calibres.

Bullet Comparator:
Measuring overall cartridge length from bullet tip to case base is often inconsistent, as bullet tips can vary noticeably between projectiles. Variations of up to .025″ are common, making tip-based measurements unreliable when precision matters.
The Bullet Comparator eliminates this issue by referencing a more consistent point on the projectile—the bullet ogive. Measuring from the ogive provides far more repeatable cartridge length readings and allows reloaders to maintain tighter seating consistency.
It can also be used to check bullet uniformity by comparing measurements from the bullet base to the ogive.
The comparator body secures easily to a caliper blade using a thumb screw and accepts interchangeable inserts matched to different projectile diameters.
