EGW HD Heavy Duty Tactical Picatinny Weaver Scope Mount Rail Base – Browning Bronze

Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The cross slots are also machined the full width of the mount and gauged to MIL-STD 1913 specs maintaining tolerances of +/-.002″.

Installation: EGW recommends 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite.

*The center spread is the distance between the two middle holes, center to center, on your receiver.

Notes:

ALL RAILS: There have been issues with Browning firearms being chambered for a certain action length and having a different length action. Eg: X-Bolt 22-250 in a WSSM action. Please make sure the scope mount you are selecting has the correct centre spread before purchasing. Browning calls their WSSM guns SSA.

Older model X-Bolts had front screw holes that were threaded to the top of the receiver. Newer models now have a deeper countersink. This countersink prevents the mounting screws from engaging multiple threads and can cause the holes to strip out in the receiver. We have changed the depth of the countersink on mounts made after January 2021. The date code can be found on the bottom of the mount. If the last 2 digits are 21 or higher, your mount has the deeper countersink.

Older mounts may require longer front screws. We recommend test fitting the screws before Loctiting to check for proper engagement. If the screws only engage with one thread, please contact us and we will provide longer screws (.335” OAL). If the screws bottom out before tightening the mount, we recommend removing a bit of material from the screw. The front screws can be torqued to 10 in/lbs.

We STRONGLY suggest taking your gun to a qualified and competent gunsmith to have this mount installed.
