It is almost impossible to tighten the original swivel locking thumbnut on Harris S-series bipods by hand so that the rifle does not tilt or cant when pressure is applied. Most shooters use pliers to get the added leverage and grip to tighten the thumbnut but this is not ideal. A better solution is to replace the thumbnut with a ratchet type locking lever which provides the grip and leverage to secure the swivel function using only one hand. Similar designs are used by military and law enforcement units worldwide.
Note: This will only fit genuine Harris bipods (or other bipods using 10-32 thread) as most Harris copies have a different bolt thread.Â
Features:
- Heavy duty Zinc alloy lever (not plastic like other designs)
- Blued spacer and internals for rust resistance
- Low profile lever (30mm) that does not hang lower than the bipod bottom for snag free operation
- Resettable spring loaded lever, just pull the lever towards you to disengage the ratchet mechanism to reset the position of the lever
