ATP Buttstock Picatinny Accessory Rail for the MDT XRS Chassis – Australian Made

We only use quality gear at Australian Tactical Precision (ATP), this principal also extends to the products we manufacture.

We are big fans of the MDT XRS Chassis. One thing that was missing is a picatinny accessory rail for the buttstock so that we could mount an Accushot Monopod or an LSP Adjustable Bag Rider, so we made one for it. The underside of the rail is recessed to match your buttstock. Edges are also chamfered and contoured to avoid snagging. It mounts to your chassis using the two sling stud holes already in the buttstock. We have drilled and tapped the rail so that you can install your original MDT sling stud so that you don’t lose your sling mount.

NOTE: The original MDT sling stud is made to be a very tight fit into a 10-32 threaded hole so that it doesn’t work loose. You will not be able to install the sling stud into our rail without first mounting the rail onto your stock. To install, you will need to first remove the MDT sling stud and washer from your stock, install our rail using the two supplied screws, then put the supplied nylon washer over the MDT sling stud (do not use the original MDT washer) and install this into our rail using an allen key that only just fits into the MDT sling stud hole as a lever. This will be very tight.

Our rails are made in Australia from a solid piece of Australian 6061-T6 aircraft aluminium bar stock on USA made CNC machines, and are MIL-Spec Type III hard coat anodised for the ultimate in scratch resistance.

They are made to MIL-STD-1913 and STANAG 4694 Specifications which hold tighter tolerances than rails made by other manufacturers and includes screws to mount to your MDT XRS Chassis, as well as a nylon washer to use if you are installing your sling stud into the rail so that you can set it at the perfect angle.
