Long Shot Precision, Adjustable Bag Rider (ABR) Flat Mount for MPA Chassis

The Adjustable Bag Rider (ABR) is made and assembled in the USA. Made out of the highest quality American aluminum, CNC made and anodized for superior wear resistance, the ABR is made to last and weighs less than a pound (most models). The custom dowels come in either hardened alloy steel or Stainless Steel and ride in linear bearings for consistent smooth operation. A custom-designed SS thumb wheel rides in two Delrin thrust washers that are known for their strength and creep resistance, this adjusts the height of the stock without the shooter having to take his or her eyes off the site picture. The ABR replaces the need for expensive, heavy, and bulky adjustable front rests and wobbly monopods. Installation is simple, quick, and you never need to remove it.

The Flat mount ABR (Patented) will directly bolt on to the MPA BA, Hybrid, ESR and Bergara Premier Competition with an MPA Chassis models and it is supplied with the proper length bolts (and the short dowels). The two step aluminum cross stud for the monopod (called theBag Rider Barrel) will be used for the longer front mounting bolt. While ABR is opened start the two supplied bolts with your fingers – finish tightening with an Allen wrench. DO NOT take apart the ABR. There is a short 1/4-20 bolt installed in the ABR that has to be removed for applications other than the MPA chassis.

Made in the USA from American 6061 Aluminium and finished with Class II Anodizing they are less than 14oz.

The bottom section is available in two variants: V Bottom, or ELR

The V bottom base is designed to fit the standard 3/8” stitch bag (2 stitch) you may already have (ABR lower measures 0.375″ at the lowest/thinnest point).  ELR Bottom is designed to fit a bag you may have if you already purchased one for your chassis and is 0.5″ tall, they are made for Protektor branded ELR bags or other bags with very low ears (ABR lower measures 0.850″ wide).  Functionality and construction are the same but the difference resides in how the shooter chooses to use it. The ELR bottom has a wider base for competitive shooting in which a rear bag is not permitted.

Direct Bolt On application:

MPA BA: Competition, Hybrid, ESR, Evolution, Lite, Ultra Lite, and Bergara Premier – Short Dowels (The Long dowels will require milling)

Modifications Required:

ORYX Chassis – Long Dowels. If your chassis does not have the slot for the M-Lok – we suggest to reduce height added to the rear stock- that you directly bolted onto the lower stock without adding a picatinny rail. Since machining is required either way to add the bolt holes the Flat Mount designed ABR has two small slots and counter bored areas for the bolt heads to be recessed. XYLO chassis – Short Dowels. The lower rider (part of the stock) will need to have bolt holes added to mount the Flat Mount ABR (which already has 2 small counter sunk slots).

MPA – to fit the Longer dowels the rear dowel will have to pass into the stock so milling a holes is required (See pic with BLACK stock)

Sig Cross – The rear stock must be modified to fit the ABR and the holes milled in the ABR to clear 10/24 bolts. Please LSP direct for details. The LOP plate must be modified to clear rear dowel. See pic and ‘Installs’ page on the LSP Adjustable Bag Rider Website.

Hardened or Standard Dowels:

• .338 and smaller calibers will use the Standard Dowels

• .33XC and larger needs the Hardened Dowels

• PRS use requires Hardened Dowels

NOTES: Do NOT lower the rider past the dowels being level with the top of the ABR. 

Please note that this product does not fit all MPA stocks. Will also not work with “Modular Weight Tuning Kit”.
