Vortex breaks new ground with our Razor HD tactical riflescopes. Built literally from the ground up to meet the demanding needs of precision shooters. The Razor HD 5-20×50 is a state-of-the-art long-range performer built on a solid 35mm one-piece tube and packed with more than a dozen unique performance and optical features—including a precision-etched first focal plane reticle.

EBR-2B MRAD Reticle
The EBR-2B (Enhanced Battle Reticle) is a ranging reticle using MIL/MRAD-based subtension lines for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. Heavier windage dot references on the drop lines increase visibility at all magnifications as well as during low light conditions. Numbered subtensions on the crosshairs ensure quick and easy referencing.

OPTICAL FEATURES
First Focal Plane – Subtensions remain consistent throughout magnification range.
APO Objective Lens System – Corrects colour across the entire visual colour spectrum, virtually eliminating chromatic aberration across the entire field of view.
Optically Indexed Lenses – Deliver optimum image sharpness and brightness with true reticle use for full ranging and hold over from edge to edge, because of computer controlled alignment during construction.
HD Lens Elements – Premium (High Density) extra low dispersion glass delivers the ultimate in resolution and colour fidelity, resulting in high definition images.
XR Lens Coatings – Vortex proprietary XR fully multi-coated lens coatings increase light transmission for maximum brightness.

CONSTRUCTION
35 mm Tube – Provides more internal room to accommodate a greater range of windage and elevation adjustment, in order to accurately dial longer range shots.
One Piece Tube – Maximizes alignment for improved accuracy and optimum visual performance as well as strength and water resistance.
Aircraft Grade Aluminium – Construction from a solid block of 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminium delivers increased strength and rigidity.
Waterproof – O-ring seals prevent moisture, dust, and debris from getting inside the tube, ensuring reliable performance in all environments.
Fogproof – Filled with argon gas to inhibit internal fogging over a wide range of temperatures.
Shockproof – Lenses are locked in place, fore and aft, with machined locking rings to remain in perfect alignment and withstand recoil and impact.
Hard Anodized Finish – Hard coat anodization is durable; the low glare matte helps camouflage the shooter’s position.
ArmorTek – Ultra hard, scratch resistant coating protects exterior lenses from scratches, oil and dirt.

INTERNAL MECHANISM DESIGN
RZR Zero Stop – Rapid Zero Return (RZR) feature stops the turret from dialing below sight in range using rugged steel components. Internal mechanisms stay free of sand, dirt, dust, moisture and other foreign materials, even when setting the zero stop position.
RZR Tall Uncapped Turrets – Spin quickly and stop at the zero setting without counting clicks. Subtension marks match the reticle, making range calculation and shooting adjustments fast and accurate.
First Focal Plane Reticle – Scale of reticle remains in proportion to the zoomed image. Constant subtensions allow accurate hold over and ranging at all magnifications, meaning no shift in point of impact during zoom.
Friction Reduction System – Provides superior durability, repeatability and accuracy for the life of the product. Prevents galling or deformation of the erector screw contact point because the heat treated, hardened steel pad floats on the end of the turret screw and interfaces with a hardened steel ring on the erector tube for steel on steel contact.
Turret Screws – Precision machined from a silicon brass alloy and treated with an advanced dry-film lubricant, providing a low friction, wear resistant performance: . Turret screw threads are ultra precision machined to sub 2 micron tolerances (less than 78 millionths of an inch). Ultra smooth operation and adjustments.
Erector Tube System – Precision machined from premium brass alloy with anti-galling properties for great strength and durability. The erector spring made of chromium vanadium withstands compression, has high fatigue resistance, and is tumble polished to a mirror finish for micro precise elevation and windage adjustments.
Single Spring Construction – Fully constrains (without over constraining) the optical system for predictable, improved accuracy throughout the range of elevation adjustment.
Glass Etched Reticle – Protected between two layers of glass (not made from wire) for optimum durability and reliability.
Illuminated Reticle – Professional grade illumination, designed for daytime, low light and night vision devices. The top setting (11) is visible in the daytime, depending on the background color. Settings below 11 are for low light use when the user’s eyes have become adapted to lower light levels. Lowest settings are intended for use with night vision devices.
Illumination Control – Illumination can be turned on or off with a single click between each intensity level, allowing access to a preferred illumination setting without having to progress through each intensity level. Positioned at 45 degrees off the left side of the eyepiece for easy adjustment without blocking view of the turret setting or magnification.

CONVENIENCE
MAG View – Combines a fibre optics magnification indicator with raised rear facing magnification references for clear viewing in low light conditions.
Radius Bar – Fibre optic turret rotation indicator provides illuminated and tactile point of reference for turret rotations.
Fast Focus Eyepiece – Allows quick and easy reticle focusing.
Side Parallax – Uses an adjustment mechanism on the left side of the riflescope to fine tune the focus to eliminate parallax shooting error.
Sunshade – Reduces glare and sun reflection from the objective lens.
Bubble Level – Promotes consistent shooting form for optimal accuracy.
ARD Flip Cap Cover – Reduces glare and sun reflection from the objective lens.
2 mm Hex Wrench – Used for setting the RZR Zero Stop.
