This model is now discontinued, please see our other listings for the Mesa Tactical LEO Gen II which is the replacement model.
Mesa Tactical’s Telescoping Stock Conversion Kit replaces the standard buttstock with an adapter that accepts A.R style collapsible stocks and pistol grips. LEO conversion kits have a stock height that allows use of open or bead sights.
The stock adapters are investment cast aircraft grade aluminum, CNC machined and powdercoated black with a tough, chemical resistant finish.
The concept is simple: the shotgun stock is replaced by an adapter that mimics the stock attachment point of an A.R lower receiver. This adapter accepts an A.R buffer tube (not included). The A.R collapsible stock and pistol grip (not included) can then be reliably attached to the shotgun.
All LEO adapters accept push-button sling swivels.
No gunsmithing is required to install.
The Mesa Tactical LEO telescoping stock adapters can accept A.R stocks that do not require a lower indexing dimple. This includes most military and commercial collapsing stocks, but few if any fixed stocks. Generally, any stock with an indexing groove machined into the ventral side of the receiver extension tube threads will work with the LEO Telescoping stock adapter. Other stocks may be installed with minor fitting.
Similarly, the Mesa Tactical LEO telescoping stock adapters can accept any grip that does not feature a rear upper extension.
Note: These adaptors were designed for the 12ga Remington 870, it will also fit the 20ga 870 as well as the 7600 and 7615 which use the same sized receiver as the 20ga 870. As this receiver is slightly smaller in height/width than the 12ga, there will be a slight difference in size (overhang) where the adaptor meets the receiver. The slight difference in size is a minor cosmetic issue, and does not affect performance.
